AI in Med Ed
This learning activity engages participants in critically exploring both the transformative potential and the significant risks of artificial intelligence in healthcare and the use in Med Ed. Learners examine how AI can enhance clinical decision-making, improve diagnostic accuracy, increase efficiency, and expand access to care, while also confronting pitfalls such as algorithmic bias, data privacy concerns, lack of transparency, hallucinations and overreliance on automated systems. By weighing benefits against limitations, participants develop a balanced understanding of when and how AI can be used responsibly, emphasizing the continued importance of human clinical reasoning, ethical oversight, and patient-centered care in an increasingly data-driven healthcare environment.
