CNS infection

Central nervous system infections include: meningitis, encephalitis, meningoencephalitis and brain abscess as well as epidural abscess. The following module will address the most high yield points in this area of disease.

Endocarditis

Endocarditis is an inflammation of the endocardium. It can be infectious or non-infectious and most commonly is of bacterial origin. Infectious endocarditis typically stems from a bacteremia and can also affect implanted cardiac devices such as ICDs. Learn about endocarditis in the following slide set.
